un-tour:

the hidden gallery

what or who I am is not important.
What’s important is that I need your help.

In 2022, Boho worked with ANU’s School of Cybernetics and the National Gallery of Australia to create an immersive experience exploring parts of the gallery that go unseen.

Working with the gallery team and cybernetics experts including researcher and media artist Eryk Salvaggio, Boho created a behind-the-scenes tour where participants consider the designed, invisible systems that shape our everyday experience—systems of air, water, architecture and meaning.

The tour explored back corridors, hidden rooms and maintenance spaces, solving a disequilibrium that threatened the gallery’s future

Un-tour was held over one week during the Gallery’s 40th birthday celebrations, and was co-presented by the National Gallery and the ANU School of Cybernetics. For this project, Boho was joined by performer Ylaria Rogers designer Isaac Nixon and sound designer Nick McCorriston.
